Ben Eltons' latest West End hit. This time the music of Rod Stewart get the make over.

You never quite know what to expect, but I was pleasantly impressed by this new musical to hit the West End.

Based around Rod Stewart (although we never get to meet him) and featuring hit after hit.

My concern was that each song would appear panto style, very predictable, and to a degree, you always did get a snigger from the audience when the next famous tune was lined up!
However that was half the charm, you're not supposed to take it seriously.

Very camp, very light, very enjoyable.

It's good to see the talented Debbie Kurup is in the cast, although very under used.

Star of the show Tim Howar, plays Stu. In my view he sung the classic songs better than the original. (instant death threats from Rod Stewart fans, Sorry!)

But the star of the show has to be Michael Mckell, playing the Keith Richards style "Stoner", hysterical everytime he came on the stage.

2006 Tour Update: Impressed with the tour version in that it has cut alot of the scenes I didn't think much off in the West End version. Also less camp, (believe it or not!) This production however was let down by it's young cast, it lacked ooomph and the night I saw it the understudy stood in for Stu and was disappointing.
