Premiere of Tim Fountain's adaptation of the triple award winning film, prior to it's West End run. Joe Buck, the cowboy seeking his fortune as a gigolo in New York, but finding friendship and reality with small -time con Ratso.

What a brilliant production, I couldn't fault it. Mind you I didn't try to as I was too busy wrapped up in this fast paced story.
I was concerned about how bitty it would be, but the slick scene and character changes worked well.
A strong, hard working cast, who have so early on bonded so very well.
Con O'Neil who played Ratso so well, making the part his own, a very difficult challenge after Dustin Hoffman.
As for Charles Aitkin, I hated him..... Good looking....talented...fit and judging by the reaction from the women in the audience... the perfect arse!!
On a serious note I thought he brought Joe to life better than Mr Voight.... and I didn't think I'd hear myself say that.
My only complaint....where was the song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
