Richard is no stranger to the stage, he has been in many plays and productions, from Shakespeare to farce! He's been a vicar, a vampire and even a tap-dancing pimp! He has numerous variety shows under his belt, and more pantomimes than he can remember.
Richard has been presenting on local radio station, Mix 96, for about six years now. "Carr in the Community" takes him all over the place, and gets him doing varied things. One day he could be surprising someone special with flowers, the next he's on a hill mountainboarding. Every week he interviews a diverse range of celebrities, from Sooty & Sweep to Roger Moore, and McFly to Tony Blair!
Working at Mix 96 takes up most of his time these days, but Richard has still managed to find time to complete a TV pilot for a new entertainment style programme, and launched his own theatre based website.
He spends much of his time reviewing productions in the area, However recently, he returned to the stage to star with movie legend Britt Ekland.
He has appeared in the following pantos, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", playing 'Egor the Henchman" with Sue Holderness, and Louis the Valet in "Beauty and the Beast" with Linda Robson.
He has recently compered football legend Luther Blissett's Celebrity Football Match, which tours the country raising money for charity. Including, Ralph Little, MC Harvey, Ben Shepherd and Sam Robertson from Coronation Street, and a host of other stars from Sky One's "The Match".
He has successfully compared a Celebrity Golf Challenge at the Grove, Hertfordshire. Hosting a auction which raised over thirteen thousand pounds.
He is a regular commentator for Cancer Research UK events around the Country. Both "Race For Life" and "Cancer Research UK 10".
Richard is about to host one of the regional Miss England contests.
