Art has made it's name all over the globe. A Sean Connery and David Pugh Production. What would you say to a mate if they brought home a white painting?!

This is'nt just for posh arty types, you know!

A great Christopher Hampton and Author Yasmina Reza, get together.
I compared it to Dr Who, in that the cast of three change so often. It is amazing how different the production becomes with a new cast. That does make it a bit of a lucky dip. I saw Warren Mitchell, John Fortune and Ken Campbell when it was up at the Wynham's. It did'nt do anything for me, sadly. However when I returned and saw Nigel Havers, Roger Lloyd Pack and Barry Foster in the roles, it could have been a completely different production. They had to be the definative masters of 'Art'. A hard act to follow.

Back on tour in 2003, minus Barry Foster, sadly. Leigh Lawson takes on the hard task.
Adding a breath of fresh air into the strongest performance by far in Art.

Recently saw John Duttine, Christopher Cazenove and Les Dennis perform the show. Didn't do it for me. It just highlights how completely different this production can be with three different actors.
